New Group Therapy Starting January 2023
This group is a space for adults with ADHD to learn and share skills that are helpful in coping effectively at home, school, work, and in relationships. Each week focuses on a different topic, from focusing to impulsivity to communication and more.
This group is a place for high schoolers to come together in a safe and relaxing environment to process the various (and numerous) stresses of being a teenager. We often play cards or board games and everyone is welcome to discuss any difficulties with which they’re dealing.

How Group Therapy Can Help
Group therapy services have unique benefits when compared to individual therapy. There is still a trained expert guiding you toward your behavioral health goals, plus:
Community: Many people tell us that the biggest benefit of group therapy is the sense of community it fosters. It can be very comforting to know you are not going through your struggles alone, and you’re not the only one who has ever felt the way you do.
Communication: Since successful group therapy relies on communication and connection, group therapy participants often find they have stronger communication skills at work and at home as a result.
Confidence: The affirmation that is a part of group therapy can help bolster and build your confidence, so you feel more certain of yourself and more optimistic about your future.
Group Therapy Focus Areas
The journey to wellness is a holistic one. It involves working with multiple experts to refocus your life, move forward with your goals, and find healing during tough times.
If you’re considering group therapy, you may find its unique support style helpful as a part of your behavioral health plan to manage challenges like:
Grief and Loss
Our team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals can recommend specific strategies for your healing and wellbeing.
Group Therapy: How to Get Started
It’s natural to have questions and concerns before signing up for group therapy or any other behavioral health services. Reaching out to clinic staff before you make your appointment can help you get a sense of what to expect from a group therapy session so you can be more comfortable moving forward.
The clinician or staff member will likely ask you a few questions to get a sense of the type of support you need, so you can find the most beneficial group therapy services and the most effective approach to treatment.
It’s important to remember that working through things in a group setting as part of your journey is still a confidential process, and your privacy will always be respected by staff and group members.
If you’d like to try group therapy, The Collective is now accepting patients.
