Ellie strives to offer a welcoming and open environment where clients feel safe and secure to share their thoughts, feelings, concerns, hopes, goals, and joys. She works from a strengths-based perspective keeping in mind that the client is the expert and that she is present only as a guide to self-discovery and growth. Ellie has worked with a diverse adult population, which has offered her the opportunity to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, and brief solution-focused therapy. Ellie encourages clients to be active participants in their own emotional and psychological health and aims to foster a partnership with the client. She will work with you to create a therapy plan that best fits your needs to create a healthy life balance. She specializes in addressing Bereavement/Loss and Complex Grief, anxiety and depression, substance misuse, LGBTQIA+ issues and issues related to adoption/foster care, and growing up in a home without a biological family.
Ellie enjoys writing, drawing or painting, working with plants, reading, and watching true crime, cop shows, and horror movies in her free time.
