Jackie Kantor

PhD-Postdoctoral Fellow

“I provide individual therapy to adults through an integrative and collaborative approach. I believe growth comes from the ability to change thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as well as how individuals respond to such experiences. Each person has their own unique story and goals, which is why providing a tailored approach is a core value of mine. I incorporate humanistic and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients presenting with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other emotional disorders. Specifically, I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD, Exposure and Response Prevention, Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Client-Centered Therapy. I weave in mindfulness and meditation practices to increase my clients' inner resources.

Additionally, I am passionate about psychological and psychoeducational assessments. I provide these assessments to adolescents (14+) and adults. I utilize psychological, cognitive, and academic tests to help clients clarify their strengths and bring them closer to their goals and values. If you or a loved one are interested in assessment, I am happy to schedule a free 15-minute phone consult to see if this service would be a good fit. Please note that I am completing my postdoctoral training after finishing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.”
